In Budweiser&#039;s case I believe their ads are more defensive--focused on people who drink Bud--than offensive, or focused on attracting new customers.  They want to remind people it&#039;s okay to drink Bud, to feel good about drinking Bud.  So, yes, they likely drive sales in the sense of protecting sales.  Do they drive NEW sales?  If that was the only metric they were measured against I believe they would fail.]]></description>
