Ready. . .Set. . .

I often come back to these words when a client invites us into his or her company:

Come to the edge, he said.
But wait, they said.
Come to the edge, he said.
They came.
He pushed them. . .and they flew.

Guillaume Apollinaire, 1761

I’ve been at this a while and seen every conceivable type of company in every conceivable situation.  At least it sure feels like it.  The only failure I’ve seen, however, is when someone stops; doesn’t take what they learned from the last thing they tried and take the next step.

Impacting sales isn’t necessarily difficult or complex. But it often takes you to the edge of something new, which, just as often, can create resistance.

Go ahead, take that next step.  If you don’t stop you can’t fail.
